Sherry Self

Sherry pursued her M. S. with Dr. Barbara Crandall-Stotler and Dr. Andrew Wood in the Department of Plant Biology. She earned a B.S. in physiology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Sherry's research involved the use of Internal Transcribed Spacers (ITS) in the analysis of Pellia appalachiania's status as a hybrid or species.

Professional interests include Molecular techniques, Bryophyte structure/function and Plant physiology.

Sherry enjoys the host of activities her three children (Scott, Mathew and Megan) bring into her life through local church activities and swimming. Camping, reading and traveling are of personal interest as well.
