Scott W. Schuette


Scott is currently pursuing his M.S. under the advisement of Dr. Barbara Crandall-Stotler in the Department of Plant Biology. He received a B.A. in plant biology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Scott is monographing the genus Jensenia Lindb. (Pallaviciniaceae) using morphological data in a morphometric analysis. Professional interests include habitat conservation, liverwort taxonomy, ecology and diversity of tropical Southeast Asia, preservation of biodiversity and bryogeography. Hobbies and other interests are modal jazz music, writing non-fiction essays, poetry and camping with Yuki.
